Roy, a seasoned entrepreneur with over 30 years in the restaurant industry, brings a wealth of experience in customer service, management, and problem-solving. Previously employed at Huey’s Restaurant, a beloved destination for both locals and travelers, he has honed his attention to detail and ability to thrive under pressure.
“My journey in the restaurant business taught me invaluable lessons about communication and creating supportive environments,” said Roy. “However, I noticed a decline in work ethic among employees and felt compelled to bet on myself and my strong values. Transitioning to Pillar To Post allows me to remain active, be hands-on, and focus on quality home inspections without the complexities of managing large teams.”
At 53, Roy made the bold choice to embrace a new career path in home inspection after recognizing the need for fulfillment beyond his previous profession. “This change is driven by purpose. It’s an adventure that not only excites me but also fuels my desire to contribute positively to my community,” he stated.
As a new franchisee, Roy welcomes the challenge of starting during a slower market, viewing it as an opportunity to build a robust foundation for his business. “Starting up in the off-season allows me to focus on creating a solid base for growth even in the face of challenges,” Roy explained. “Every small win can lead to measurable, long-term success.”
